About the artist

Hi there! I'm Jenni Tuulia Siltala, a Finnish landscape and seascape painter. I graduated with a BFA (Hons) from University of Dundee, Scotland, in 2019. With my paintings I represent meaningful places, their atmosphere, and my own memories. I use my own photographs as references for my art, which makes the process very personal.

I like to explore the idea of belonging, how we feel at home in different places, and what those places mean to us. I especially love painting water, because it reminds me of so many good memories. For me water also represents freedom, and a feeling of lightness - like a carefree summer day on the beach.
