"Yön Hohde" is Finnish for "the shimmer of the night". And what a beautiful shimmer it is! I remember this night by the lake, the sky was clear except for a couple perfect pink clouds. When it got darker, it just got prettier. Gotta love the Finnish summertime and midnight sun!
"Katoava" is Finnish for "disappearing". This painting captures that moment when the the sun is almost down, but you can see a little light. The water doubles that shine, making the little bit of disappearing sunlight look so beautiful.
